20th March, 2017 The applicant prays for condonation of delay in filing the First Appeal. The reasons for the delay are mentioned in para 2 of the application.

The prayer is opposed by Mr. Kasat, learned counsel for respondent no.3.

Considering the reasons assigned, the delay in filing the First Appeal stands condoned, subject to applicant-appellant not being entitled for interest on the amount of compensation, if enhanced, for the period from 23rd February, 2011 till 25th February, 2016. Civil Application is disposed of.

In view of order passed on Civil Application No. 3 of 2017 as aforesaid, the appellant would not be entitled for interest on the amount of compensation, if enhanced, for the period from 23rd February, 2011 till 25th February, 2016..
