We are informed by the learned Counsel for the petitioner that Special Case 505/2021 is at the stage of recording of evidence. It is claimed that on January 3, 2025, the petitioner - accused has moved an application for issuance of the directions to the respondent to supply the copies of the documents which are referred to in the prayer clause therein.

It is urged that in case if the documents which the prosecution intends to rely upon in evidence are not made available, same amounts to denial of opportunity of hearing.

It is claimed that the Special Court is likely to commence the recording of evidence without deciding the aforesaid application.

That being so, we deem it appropriate to dispose of the petition with request to the Special Court to expeditiously decide the application for providing documents which are sought in the application dated January 3, 2025 in accordance with law before recording of evidence would be commenced.

The petition accordingly stands disposed of.
