The Petitioner's grievance is that inspite of the fact that compensation for land of the Petitioner acquired is deposited in the Bank, the Bank is not permitting the Petitioner to withdraw the amount, neither giving any reason why it should not be permitted to be withdrawn. The learned counsel for the Petitioner states that the amount was deposited in State Bank of India, Aurangabad and is now transferred to State Bank of India, Nagpur.

Since the amount is towards compensation, the State is obliged to pay same and it should ensure that it reaches to the claimant. Therefore, the Collector, Nagpur will instruct a suitable Officer to look into the grievance of the Petitioner, co-ordinate with the Bank and take necessary steps and if there are any reason why the Petitioner is not permitted to withdraw the amount, the Bank be called upon to inform the Petitioner the reason, so that Petitioner can take further legal action.

The Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of.
