HAQ, J.
DATE : 15.4.2016 Heard Shri N.R. Tekade, advocate h/f Shri J.B. Gandhi, advocate for the applicants and Shri S.B. Bissa, A.P.P. for the non-applicant.
The applicants apprehend arrest in crime registered against them for the offence punishable under Sections 498-A, 506, 323 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
The crime is registered on the complaint filed by Renuja (wife of applicant no.1 and daughter-in-law of applicant no.2) that she is ill-treated and harassed by the applicants who are constantly demanding Rs.3,00,000/- for performing some rituals. According to the complainant - Renuja, she is residing with her parents since 10th February, 2015, the date on which the applicant no.1 took her to parents' house and left her there.
2 aba121.16 The complaint is filed by the complainant on 9th January, 2016.
The application is opposed on the ground that the custodial interrogation of applicants is required to extract truth. Considering the nature of accusations against the applicants and the facts on the record, in my view, the interim order granted by this Court on 1st March, 2016 is required to be confirmed. Hence, the following order:
(i) In the event of arrest in Crime No.26/2016 registered by the non-applicant, the applicants be released on bail on furnishing P.R. Bond for Rs.10,000/- (Rs. Ten Thousand Only) each. (ii) The application is allowed in the above terms. JUDGE Tambaskar.
