The only prayer made by the petitioner in this writ petition is for a direction to the respondent-Scrutiny Committee to decide the caste claim of the petitioner within a time frame. Ms Ritu Kalia, the learned Assistant Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondent-Scrutiny Committee, states on instructions that the caste claim of the petitioner is pending before the Scrutiny Committee and the same would be decided as early as possible.

Since the caste claim of the petitioner is pending from the year 2008 and the vigilance enquiry is already completed, we dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the Scrutiny Committee to decide the caste claim of the petitioner within a period six months from the date of appearance of the petitioner before the Scrutiny Committee. The petitioner undertakes to appear before the Scrutiny Committee on 11/07/2016.

Order accordingly. No costs.
