In this writ petition, the petitioner inter alia seeks to quash and set aside the election programme issued by respondent No.1 - District Deputy Registrar and seeks a direction to hold the elections, in accordance with the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies (Election to Committee) Rules, 2014.

Learned Counsel for the petitioner fairly submits that the process of election has already commenced. He therefore, seeks leave of this Court to withdraw the petition with liberty to file election petition and to raise all contentions raised in the petition, in the election petition, if occasion arises.
