The petitioner no.2 claims to be appointed on the post of 'Peon' with the petitioner no.1-Institution which is stated to be a minority institution. After his appointment, the Head Master on 21.08.2014 forwarded a proposal to the Education Officer (Secondary) seeking approval to the appointment of the petitioner no.2. Since the same was not adjudicated upon, this writ petition has been filed.

Though notice was issued on 07.03.2018 till date there was no reply filed by the respondents.

In these facts, the Education Officer (Secondary) is directed to take a decision on the proposal dated 21.08.2014 seeking approval
2-wp-1339-18.odt 2 to the appointment of the petitioner no.2 within a period of six weeks from the receipt of copy of this order. The decision taken shall be communicated to the petitioners. If the approval is granted, consequential benefits shall be paid to the petitioner no.2 in accordance with law.
