IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT BOMBAY
NAGPUR BENCH, NAGPUR WRIT PETITION NO. 1620 OF 2016 (Smt. Prabhatai Vitthalrao Mohod Vs. Election Officer, Naya-Akola Seva Sahakari Society) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Office notes, Office Memoranda of Coram, appearances, Court's orders Court's or Judge's Orders or directions and Registrar's orders.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Shri S. Y. Deopujari, Advocate for the respondent.
CORAM
: S. B. SHUKRE, J DATE : 02 APRIL, 2016.
None for the petitioner.
Learned Counsel for the respondent submits that the elections are over. He places on record copies of documents showing the fact that elections were already held on 13/3/2016 and their result declared on 20/3/2016.
The documents are taken on record and collectively marked as document-'X' for identification.
It is seen from the bunch of papers vide document-'X' that voting took place on 13/3/2016 and counting took place on 20/3/2016. Thus, the process of election came to an end on 20/3/2016 on which date, after the counting, results were declared.
By the order dated 11/3/2016 this Court had refused to grant any interim relief and expressed its opinion that the Court was not inclined to make any interference in the election process. It is clear that the writ petition has now become infructuous.
The writ petition stands disposed of as infructuous. No costs.
