Heard learned counsel for the parties.

It appears that an appropriate proposal by the Sub-Divisional Officer and Land Acquisition Officer, Karanja, District has been made to the Collector, for payment of compensation to the petitioner, as is apparent from the communication dated 03.08.2024 issued by the Senior Manager/Civil RVNL, Nagpur.

In view of aforesaid, we dispose of this writ petition with a direction to the Collector or the Competent Authority concerned to take a final decision in the matter on the said proposal and in case the petitioner is found to be entitled to be paid compensation, the same shall also be paid to the petitioner.

The decision under this order shall be taken by the Competent Authority or the Collector within a period of one month from the date of a certified copy of this order is produced before him, whereupon payment of compensation shall also be made to the petitioner within next three weeks thereafter.
