On last occasion, it was urged that grievance of the petitioners can be looked into by the State Police Complaints Authority constituted under the Maharashtra Police (Amendment and Continuance) Ordinance, 2014.

Today, learned Assistant Government Pleader Shri T.A. Mirza has placed on record gazette Notification dated 25.6.2014 publishing Maharashtra Amending Act No.24 of 2014 and later Notification issued on 25.5.2015 by which the State under Section 22P(2) of the Act constituted the authority.

We find that grievance of the present petitioners can be looked into by the said authority. Hence, keeping all rival contentions open and with liberty to the petitioners to approach that authority, in accordance with law, we dispose of the present proceedings. No costs.
