The applicant is apprehending arrest Crime No.355/2022, registered with Police Station, Parseoni, Dist. Nagpur for the offences punishable under Sections 379 and 448 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860.

Learned counsel for the applicant submits that the maximum punishment provided for the aforesaid offences is three year. If that be so, the investigating officer is bound to abide by the directions issued by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Satender Kumar Antil Vs. Central Bureau of Investigation and another; reported in (2002) 10 SCC 51 and Arnesh Kumar Vs. State of Bihar, reported in (2014) 8 SCC 273 so also, Directorate's Standing Order No.3/2022 dated 20.07.2022. With the above observations, the application is disposed of.
