The prayer of the petitioner for substitution in the matter of compassionate appointment is rejected vide impugned order dated 29.01.2025.

It appears that the communication prima-facie is in contravention to the judgment of this Court in Writ Petition No.3701/2022 (Kalpana wd/o Vilas Taram and another vs. The State of Maharashtra and ors. With connected matters ) decided on 28.05.2024.

In that view of the matter, we deem it appropriate to dispose of this petition by directing the petitioner to appear before respondent No.2 along with her claim for substitution. The respondent No.2 shall deal with the same as expeditiously as possible within a period of two months from the date of receipt
