The Petitioner has sought a direction to Respondent No.3 to hold a meeting and further direct the Divisional Verification Committee to register the proposed society. The Petitioner has made this request on 14 January 2022 and has filed this Petition on 15 March 2022.

We would have ordinarily taken cognizance of this request and would have called upon statutory authorities to inform the Court as to when the request of the Petitioner would be considered but, we do not intend to do so in this present Petition, as the request of the Petitioner is not a request but a threat. The Petitioner has stated that if no action is taken before the stipulated period, the Petitioner will sit on a strike in the chamber of the Commissioner of Co-operation. This cannot be considered as the legal representation or a request and, therefore, we do not take cognizance of the same for issuance of any direction.

It is open for the Petitioner to make an appropriate representation setting out the facts in a formal manner and thereafter setting out the request. If such a request is made within a period of one week from today, the authorities will consider taking steps on the request so made as per law, early subject to other earlier time bound commitments.
