Heard Mr. Manohar, learned Senior Counsel for petitioner. The petition questions the notice dated 18.12.2017. The learned Senior Counsel restricts the claim for consideration of the application of the petitioner dtd 1.4.2024 for extension of the period of the LOI beyond the period of 5 yrs on parity with the other similarly situated persons including the ones mentioned in paragraphs 38 to 40 of the petition. Mr. Chavan, learned Government Pleader does not dispute that the application has been filed and needs decision, specifically in view of the fact that the Central Govt. by the communication dated 21.8.2024 (p167) has already granted extension for six months from the date of communication, which would be in force till 21.4.2025. We therefore, dispose off the petitioner by directing the respondent No. 2 to decide the application of the petitioner dated 1.4.2024 for extension of the period of LOI

2 47wp1151.2025..odt within a period of 8 weeks from today. The petitioner has already filed reply to the show cause and shall be heard by the respondent No. 2, after the application dated 1.4.2024 is decided by the respondent No.1.

Needless to say that the same parameters would be applied to one and all while considering the application for extension. The petition is disposed of in the above terms. No costs.
