Pursuant to the advertisement dated 18.09.2003 the petitioner underwent selection process and claimed to have been appointed on 29.09.2003 on the post of 'Lecturer'. It is claimed that the petitioner was granted approval by the respondent-University on 27.01.2004. It is claimed that the petitioner is entitled for the benefit of Old Pension Scheme, so also the benefit of Career Advancement Scheme(CAS), which is not granted to him.

The counsel appearing for the petitioner has invited our attention to the representation dated 26.03.2024 addressed to the respondents. 4.

Since the representation submitted by the petitioner is not yet decided wherein the petitioner's claim is for grant of benefit of the Career Advancement Scheme, so also of Old Pension Scheme, we deem it appropriate to dispose of the petition by directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 26.03.2024, so also the pleadings in the petition with its annextures and decide the same within a period of four months from the date of production of copy of this order. The respondents, if so required, may hear the petitioner. 5.

With these directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
