DATED : MARCH 28, 2018 The petitioners, in effect, challenge the advertisement dated 18/5/2017 vide which applications are invited for 29 posts of Assistant Professors, etc. The Apex Court in the case of Girjesh Shrivastava and others vs. State of Madhya Pradesh and others {(2010) 10 SCC 707} has held in unequivocal terms that in service matters, public interest litigation would not be maintainable. If any person is aggrieved in service matters, he can very well challenge the action by filing a separate writ petition. The public interest litigation is, therefore, rejected.
