Mr. Shiralkar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would invite our attention to the judgment of the Apex Court in the matter of Maniben Maganbhai Bhariya vs. District Development Officer, Dahod and others reported in [2022 SCC Online SC 507] wherein it is claimed that the Apex Court has extended benefit of grant of gratuity to the Anganwadi Helpers/Sevika and Workers. He would claim that the said judgment decides the right in rem and not in personam and as such, the said benefit is required to be extended to the petitioners also. According to him, the petitioners are pursuing the issue at the primary level. However, there is no response. 3.

In the aforesaid background, he would urge that detail representation shall be made to the State Government thereby seeking benefit and implementation of the directions issued in Maniben Maganbhai Bhariya (supra) of the Apex Court to the Anganwadi Workers/Helpers/Sevika, who are working and/or superannuated, in the State of Maharashtra. 4.

If such representation is made within a period of four weeks, the State Government shall decided the same expeditiously and in any case within a period of six months from the date of receipt of such representation. 5.
