and Registrar's orders Shri D.V. Chavan, Advocate/Amicus Curiae Ms. N. Mehta, AGP for Respondent Nos. 1 to 3. Shri A.S. Kilor, Advocate for Respondent Nos.20 and 21. CORAM : B.P. Dharmadhikari & Manish Pitale, JJ.
DATED : JANUARY 31, 2018.
Heard Shri D.V. Chavan, learned Amicus and Ms. Mehta, learned A.G.P. for respondent-State. 2.
Perused the order passed by this Court on 13.09.2017.
3.
Today after hearing respective counsel, we find that after scrutiny 70 Saw Mills have surfaced for further examination and Hon'ble Apex Court is looking into their fate in a pending P.I.L. before it. It is not in dispute that 12 Saw Mills which are involved in this P.I.L. are included in those 70 Saw Mills.
4.
It is also not in dispute that one Saw Mill was found illegally functioning and its licence has been cancelled with the result today it is not operative. 5.
As the issue is now being looked into by the Hon'ble Apex Court, it is apparent that this Court cannot
PIL29-12.odt and need not keep present P.I.L. pending. Accordingly, with liberty to parties in general and keeping rival contentions open, we dispose of the P.I.L.
6.
We appreciate the hard work put in by the learned Amicus.
