By Pursis Stamp No.879/2020, the learned Advocate for the appellant placed on record a photocopy of Death Certificate of the appellant. It is issued by the Sub-Registrar (Birth & Death), Municipality Ghatanji, which shows that the appellant expired on 27/06/2018.

Conviction is for the offences punishable under Sections 7, 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act. It seems that the near relatives of the appellant do not intend to prosecute this appeal. Hence, the appeal stands abated in view of the provisions of sub-section (2) of Section 394 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
