By this application under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, the applicant / accused has prayed that the F.I.R. registered against him for offence punishable under Section 224 of the Indian Penal Code be quashed.

The applicant / accused is convicted for commission of offence punishable under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code. Admittedly, when the applicant was released on furlough leave on 31st October 2014, he failed to report on due date and reported on 13th February, 2015 I.e after delay of about 13 days. As the applicant / accused failed to report / surrender on due date, the F.I.R. for offence punishable under Section 224 of the Indian Penal Code is registered.

After examining the facts of the case, we are not satisfied that in this case inherent jurisdiction is required to be exercised. Hence the criminal application
