Vide order dated 17.01.2020 passed in Writ Petition No.343/2020, the respondent-Committee was directed to decide the caste claim of the petitioner within a period of one month from the date of the order. According to the petitioner, this order is not obeyed. Learned advocate for the petitioner makes a statement that the hearing is completed before the Committee on 31.08.2020.

Learned AGP states that due to pandemic situation, the caste claim of the petitioner could not decided within the stipulated time.

2 cp185.20 In view of the statement made by the learned advocate for the petitioner that the hearing is completed, the learned AGP makes a statement that within three weeks' time decision will be taken in the matter. We accept the statement made by the learned AGP on behalf of the respondent and dispose of the contempt petition.
