In this petition, a challenge is raised to the order dated 03.02.2017 passed under Section 7Q of the Employees' Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952 (for short "the Act of 1952") for recovery of interest for belated remittance.
3.
The total recovery under the head of interest under Section 7Q of the Act of 1952, is Rs.24,15,181/-. It is informed to this court that the major part of the said amount has already been recovered. There is no dispute about the belated remittance of the amount under Section 7A of the Act of 1952. Thus, the interest claimed by the Assistant PF Commissioner is towards the statutory interest.
4.
Thus, in absence of any illegality pointed out in recovery of interest on the belated remittance under the provisions of the Act nd.thawre
