By this criminal writ petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents to pass an order that the sentence for imprisonment as directed, while passing the judgment in the trial under Section 302 and the trial under Section 498-A of the Penal Code should run concurrently. It would be necessary for the petitioner to file an appropriate application before the learned District and Sessions Judge that had passed the judgment in the second trial against the petitioner. The petitioner can apply before the appropriate Court under Section 427 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

The criminal writ petition is disposed of. The petitioner is, however, at liberty to take up appropriate proceedings for seeking the relief.

Order accordingly.
