OCTOBER 17, 2025 The petition has been filed seeking directions to respondent no.1 to take cognizance of the representation made by the petitioner to initiate legal action for cancellation/impounding of passport issued to respondent no.3.

2] The petitioner and respondent no.3 got married sometimes in January - 2010. The relations, later on, got strained. The petitioner filed proceedings under the provisions of The Protection of Women From Domestic Violence Act, 2005. She also lodged report for the offence punishable under Section 498A of The Indian Penal Code, 1860, on the basis of which, present proceedings were initiated.

3] The Counsel for respondent no.3 submits that respondent no.3 has been acquitted vide judgment and order dated 10/1/2025 passed by the Judicial Magistrate First Class, Washim, in Regular Criminal Case No. 324/2017.

906-WP-217-2022 4] That being so, directions cannot be issued to respondent no.1 to cancel/impound the passport. 5] The petition is accordingly dismissed.
