The learned Advocate for the applicant, on instructions, seeks permission to withdraw the application, however, prays for directions to the learned Magistrate to expedite the trial. It is pointed out that the applicant is aged about 70 years and the prosecution is pending since 2002.

Criminal application is disposed as withdrawn. Considering the facts of the case, learned Magistrate is directed to expedite the trial and in any case, conclude it within four months.
