The applicant is apprehending arrest in Crime 6/2020 registered with Mangrul (Dastgir) Police Station for offences punishable under Section 379 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 9 and 15 of the Environment (Protection) Act, Section 3 of the Public Property Damages Act, 1984 and Sections 4(1)(a) and Section 21 of the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957.

The allegation is that sand 300 brass in quantity was illegally excavated.

Perusal of the material in the case diary would reveal that apart from the report/representation submitted by the Police Patil and Kotwal, to the effect that the applicant and two others are involved in sand theft, in so far as the theft is concerned, there is no direct

The interim protection granted vide order dated 17-3-2020 is made absolute.
