The husband of the petitioner who was serving as Assistant Teacher expired on 2-2-2016. The petitioner made an application for grant of compassionate appointment on 11-3-2016. Since the petitioner was not provided any appointment, the present writ petition came to be filed. 3.
In the affidavit-in-reply filed on behalf of the Education Officer (Secondary), Zilla Parishad, Bhandara dated 4-10-2022, it has been stated in Paragraph 3 that in the list of candidates seeking appointment on compassionate basis, the petitioner's name was at serial No.63. It appears that in the meanwhile the petitioner crossed the age of 45 years and hence her name was deleted from the waiting list as per the Government Resolution dated 21-09-2017.

In these facts, we find that though the name of the petitioner was taken on waiting list which was serial No.63, by that time she crossed the age of 45 years. In view of the Government Resolution dated 21-9-2017, the deletion of the name of the petitioner from the waiting list therefore cannot be faulted. We do not find any reason to interfere in the matter.

The writ petition is therefore dismissed.
