The appellant/accused is convicted for the offence punishable under Sections 354 and 452 of the Indian Penal Code. The maximum sentence is to undergo rigorous imprisonment for one year and total fine of Rs. 3000/- has been imposed. The accused was on bail during trial. After conviction, the Trial Court has suspended the execution of sentence by releasing him on bail. The appellant has deposited the fine amount of which, receipt has been tendered for perusal. Since punishment is term of imprisonment for one year, execution of sentence needs to be suspended.

The execution of substantive sentence stands suspended during pendency of appeal. In the meantime, the accused be released on bail on his furnishing P. R. Bond of Rs. 15,000/- with one surety in the like amount.
