By this criminal writ petition, the petitioner seeks a direction against the respondents to shift the petitioner from Nagpur Central Prison to District Prison Wardha. According to the petitioner, most of the relatives of the petitioner stay at Akola and it is difficult for them to come to Nagpur to meet the petitioner in the Central Prison. It is stated that it would be convenient for the relatives of the petitioner to meet him if he is transferred to the District Prison at Wardha. We do not find any merit in the submission made on behalf of the petitioner. The conveyance facilities from Akola to Nagpur are better than the conveyance facilities from Akola to Wardha. The distance between Nagpur to Akola is also not much greater than the distance between Akola and Wardha. The request made on behalf of the petitioner does not appear to be reasonable.

In this view of the matter, we dispose of the criminal writ petition with no order as to costs.
