The applicants, who are released on bail vide order dated 13.12.2019 (Coram: V.M. Deshpande, J.) subject to the condition that the applicants shall deposit Rs. 1 crore within seven days and Rs. 2 crores within sixteen weeks of the order, are seeking extension of time to deposit Rs. 1 crore, the applicants having already deposited an amount of Rs. 2 crore.
2] The applicants have deposited Rs. 1 crore within seven days of the order and further amount of Rs.50 lakhs each is deposited on 17.03.2020 and 18.03.2020. In the extraordinary situation which prevails today, the applicants are entitled to extension as prayed, particularly since out of the three crores the applicants have already deposited Rs. 2 crore.
appp414.20.odt 3] The time to deposit Rs. 1 crore is extended by eight weeks. The learned Senior Counsel Shri S.P. Dharmadhikari would submit that if the situation does not improve, the applicants may be permitted to request for further extension. If the situation does not improve, the applicants are at liberty to seek further extension, which request shall be considered on its own merits. 4] Steno copy of this order be furnished to the learned counsel for the applicant.
