The Petitioner in this Petition had earlier filed a Public Interest Litigation. It was entertained and the Respondent-Authority were directed to take action as per law which the Authorities have taken. Aggrieved by the action taken, Respondent No. 2 has filed an Appeal. 2.

The Petitioner's grievance is that the Petitioner has been made a Party-Respondent in the said Appeal and is required to travel to Mumbai to attend the Appeal and has prayed that the Appeal be expeditiously disposed of.

Since, the Petitioner had initiated the proceeding not in her personal interest, but in public interest, it is always open to the Petitioner not to participate in the Appeal proceedings, as the cognizance has already been taken by the Court and the Authorities.
