The Petitioner has sought a direction to the Respondents to appoint the Petitioner as per the final select list prepared on 24 June 2017 for the post of 'Anganwadi Madatnis' for the Municipal Council Desaiganj Wadsa, District Gadchiroli. The said select list was cancelled by the Respondents. 2.

It is the contention of the Petitioner that the cancellation of select list was without any reason and the reason, if any, pertains to another Prabhag. Reply affidavit has been filed. It is stated that in view of the letter received from Child Development Project Office (Urban Area), Gadchiroli, the select list was cancelled.

Apart from the reasons that lead to the cancellation of the select list, the fact cannot be ignored that the cancellation has taken place in the year 2017 and even assuming the select list would have continued it would have limited life. A relief in the year 2021 to direct the Respondents to appoint Petitioner on the basis of such select list cancelled in the year 2017 cannot be issued. 4.

Writ Petition is accordingly rejected.
