Heard the learned Addl.Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.

Perused the petition and noted the contents. The petitioner has filed Criminal Misc. Application No.228 of 2021 on 25.03.2021 to the Magistrate in terms of Section 156(3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure (the Code) seeking direction to the Police to register the crime. 4.

It is the petitioner's contention that he has advanced arguments however the learned Magistrate has not passed appropriate orders.

We have checked the status of the concern proceedings from the District Court Website. It reveals that the said application is kept for order on 28.04.2022 and thereafter several dates were given for passing of order. Again the matter is adjourned to 08.01.2024 on same stage. It is apparent that since last two years though the matter is placed for orders but order has not been passed. Certainly, the learned Magistrate ought to have pass the necessary orders since it was mere

In view of that, the Magistrate is directed to pass appropriate order in accordance with law within four weeks from the receipt of this order.

The petition stands disposed of in the above terms. No costs.
