DATED : 12-07-2024 Drawing support from the Government Resolution dated 20-1-2016 particularly Clause (3), it is the contention of the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner Mr. P.N. Shende that if the petitioner is appointed on compassionate ground, it is not mandatory to clear Teacher Eligibility Test (TET).

He would claim that in view of above, the order impugned is not sustainable.

In this background, we deem it appropriate to dispose of the present petition with a direction to respondent No.1-Education Officer (Secondary) Zilla Parishad, Chandrapur to reconsider the issue of grant of approval to the petitioner based on the directions of the State Government issued in Government Resolution dated 20-1-2016, within a period of eight weeks from the date of production of copy of this order, and communicate the same to the petitioner.
