DATED : 22nd APRIL, 2024 The grievance raised by the petitioners is non-consideration of the candidature of the petitioners for the post of "Anganwadi Supervisor" in terms of the advertisement dated 31.10.2015 (page 15), on the basis of a communication by the respondent No.4 dated 08.2.2016 (page 31), to the respondent No.1, making a query as to whether the candidates from the urban areas would be capable of being considered for the post of Anganwadi Supervisor. In our considered opinion, the query was not justified at all, as the advertisement in clear and categorical terms, indicated vide Clause 7(2) that

2 22-2504-2019.odt the post of Anganwadi Supervisors would be filled in by promotion, from candidates, who had passed 10th standard and had worked for a period of 10 years on honorarium, in the rural projects under Integrated Child Development Project, in Gadchiroli as Anganwadi Sevikas. The stand of the State as reflected from the affidavit is the same. The communication dated 08/02/2016 has unnecessarily stalled the process of consideration of the candidates at page 30. We, therefore, quash and set aside the communication dated 08/2/2016 (page 31) and direct the respondent No.4 to to adhere with the process in terms of advertisement dated 30/10/2015 (page 15) and to complete the entire process within a period of four weeks from 6th June, 2024. The petition is disposed of in the above terms. No costs.
