DATE : 13/07/2020 Hearing was conducted through Video Conferencing and the learned counsel agreed that the audio and visual quality was proper.
Heard Mr. Mohta, learned counsel for the applicant. He submits that the prosecution witnesses have been examined, statement of accused under Section 313 of Cr.P.C. has been recorded and the matter was posted for arguments but due to lock-down, the Court is not functioning regularly but is dealing only with regular matters, which situation requires the applicant to be released on bail. After hearing the counsel, since the Court was not inclined on this ground, he seeks to withdraw the application. The application is therefore, dismissed as withdrawn.
BA NO.10. 347-2020.odt Considering that the matter was fixed for final arguments, the Sessions Court concerned, is requested to take up the matter expeditiously through video conferencing. Mr. Mohta, learned counsel who is also appearing for the applicant before the Sessions Court submits that he will place on record his written notes of argument within a period of one week from today, pursuant to which the Sessions Court will endeavour to hear and decide the matter expeditiously by video conferencing.
