This is an application for condonation of delay in preferring an appeal. Delay is of 22 days.

The applicant is convicted for the offence punishable under Section 376(2)(i) of the Indian Penal Code and is directed to suffer rigorous imprisonment for 10 years and to pay a fine of Rs.5000/- and, in default of payment of the fine amount, to suffer rigorous imprisonment for 6 months.
He is also convicted for the offence under Section 3 punishable under under Section 4 of the Protection of Children from .....2/-
appa271.18 1 Sexual Offences Act, 2012. However, no separate sentence is passed. 4.
The applicant is behind the bars right from the day of his arrest.

After hearing learned counsel for the applicant and after perusing the contents of the application, I am satisfied that the applicant has made out a case for condonation of delay. 6.
The application is allowed. Delay of 22 days for preferring the appeal is hereby condoned. Office is directed to register the appeal.
