By this writ petition, the petitioners seek a direction to the State Government to consider the proposal of the Market Committee for extension of term of the Market Committee till the elections are concluded and the new body takes charge.

Shri Patil, the learned Assistant Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondent-State Government, states on the basis of the communication received in the office of the Government Pleader from the Deputy Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Wardha that the term of the Market Committee is extended till the elections to the Market Committee are concluded and the new body takes charge. It is stated that the grievance of the petitioner should stand redressed, in view of this development.

Shri De, the learned counsel for the petitioners, has filed a pursis that in view of the statement made on behalf of the respondent Nos.1 and 2, the petitioners are not desirous of pressing any other relief.

2/2 wp2082.16 In view of the aforesaid, we dispose of the writ petition by accepting the statement made by the learned Assistant Government Pleader. The State Government should conclude the elections to the Market Committee within a period of six months. Order accordingly. No costs.
