By this application, the applicants are seeking to quash First Information Report vide Crime No. 35/2023 registered by Police Station Bramhapuri, Dist. Chandrapur for the offence punishable under Sections 498-A read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

During the pendency of this application, the matter has been amicably settled. The matrimonial dispute has been resolved between couple and informant wife has started to cohabit with her husband (applicant No.1) from 20.01.2024. In the circumstances, it is apparent that continuation of prosecution would amount to abuse of the process of the Court.

In view of above, application is allowed. We hereby quash and set aside First Information Report vide Crime No. 35/2023 registered by Police Station Bramhapuri, Dist. Chandrapur for the offence punishable under Sections 498-A read with Section 34 of the Indian
