Shri M.K.Pathan, APP for the respondent/State. Shri H.R.Gadhia, Advocate for the respondent no.4. CORAM : SMT. VIBHA KANKANWADI & MRS. VRUSHALI V. JOSHI, JJ.
DATED : 25th JUNE, 2024.
Learned advocate for the petitioner seeks withdrawal of the petition with a request to give directions to the learned trial Court to decide the proceedings as early as possible, taking into consideration the fact that the petitioner is senior citizen. 2.
It appears that the case is pending since 2020 though we are not aware of the pendency of the learned trial Judge, yet there are directions from the Hon'ble Supreme Court as well as this Court to the learned trial Courts, they should give preference to the case involving senior citizens.
3.
In view of the fact that the petitioner is senior citizen, we direct to the learned trial judge i.e. Judicial Magistrate First Class, Court No.2, Nagpur to decide the Regular Criminal Case No. 1920 of 2020 as early as possible.
