This application filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure seeks quashing of the First Information Report ('FIR') bearing Crime No.21 of 2021 registered with Civil Lines Police Station, District Akola for the offences punishable under Sections 498A, 323, 504, 506 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code. 3.

The FIR was registered at the instance of non-applicant no.2. Pursuant to the completion of investigation, charge-sheet is filed and case is numbered as R.C.C. No.444/2024 pending before learned 4th Judicial Magistrate, First Class, Akola.

The matter arises out matrimonial dispute between applicant no.1 and non-applicant no.2. During the pendency of this matter, parties have amicably settled their dispute. Joint Affidavit is filed by applicant no.1 and non-applicant no.2 stating therein that they have amicably settled the dispute, they are residing together since January, 2022, and they are leading happy married life. Due to misunderstanding, FIR came to be lodged. In view of compromise, there is no grievance left, hence the proceedings may be quashed.

Applicant no.1 and non-applicant no.2 are present in the Court. They are identified by their respective Counsel. Non-applicant no.2 confirms the amicable settlement and that she is residing with applicant no.1 since January 2022 and they are living happy married life. She has no objection to quash the proceedings. 6.

In the light of compromise between the parties, Criminal Application is allowed. Proceeding bearing R.C.C. No.444 of 2024 pending on the file of 4th Judicial Magistrate, First Class, Akola registered on the basis of First Information Report bearing Crime No.21 of 2021 registered with the Civil Lines Police Station, District Akola for the offences punishable under Section 498A, 323, 504, 506 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code, is hereby quashed and set aside. 7.
