The challenge raised in this writ petition is to the order dated 31/12/2018 passed by the Divisional Commissioner, Amravati. In the proceedings before the Divisional Commissioner, the petitioner has challenged the order dated 28/05/2018 passed by the Chief Officer thereby discharging the petitioner from service. The Divisional Commissioner held that the jurisdiction to grant appointment on the post of Water Supply Engineer on regular basis vested with the Director, Municipal Administration, Mumbai. In view of said order, this Court on 28/08/2022 directed respondent No.2-Director of Municipal Administration to decide the representation of the petitioner after giving him due opportunity.

02] Today, it is informed by the learned Assistant Government Pleader that on 19/10/2022 the Director of Municipal Administration has considered the petitioner's representation and has refused to grant any relief to the

7.wp.5053.19 2/2 petitioner. Perusal of the said order indicates that this rejection is supported by various reasons. The said order is taken on record and marked "A" for identification. 03] If the petitioner is aggrieved by the order dated 19/10/2022, he is free to take appropriate steps as permissible in the law for challenging the said order.

04] With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
