DATED : AUGUST 5, 2019 The petitioner, who is convicted for the offence punishable under Section 302 of Indian Penal Code and sentenced to suffer life imprisonment along with other offences for which separate sentences are imposed upon him, has filed this petition seeking benefit of Government Resolution dated 3/6/2017 regarding remission of sentence to be granted to convict on the occasion of 125th Birth Anniversary of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.
According to reply of respondents, as per said Government Resolution, grant of remission is to be considered after obtaining opinion of concerned Court and in the instant case, opinion from learned Additional Sessions Judge, Washim is called for by letter dated 23/4/2018, however, same is awaited.
In the circumstances, we direct concerned Additional Sessions Judge, Washim to give his opinion

The petition is disposed of in the above terms.
The fee payable to learned Counsel appointed for petitioner is quantified as rupees fifteen hundred.
