Mrs. A.R.Kulkarni,Assistant Government Pleader for respondent nos. 1 & 3.
CORAM : SMT. VASANTI A. NAIK AND V. M. DESHPANDE, JJ.
DATE : APRIL 20, 2016 By this writ petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondent nos. 2 and 3 to complete the selection process for appointment of Anganwadi Sevika at Aajgaon as per the advertisement dated 05.03.2013. We are not inclined to entertain the writ petition filed by the petitioner for seeking the aforesaid relief. By the advertisement dated 05.03.2013, the applications were invited for appointment on the post of Anganwadi Sevika. The petitioner was informed on 13.05.2015 that the selection process was cancelled. Despite the fact that the selection process was cancelled before 13.05.2015, the petitioner did not file any proceedings till this writ petition was filed on 04.04.2016. There is an inordinate delay in filing the writ petition. Also, a direction cannot be issued to the respondent nos. 2 and 3 to continue with the selection process, initiated in terms of the advertisement issued three years earlier especially when the same stood cancelled more than an year earlier.
Since there is no merit in the writ petition, we dismiss the same with no order as to costs.
