The petitioner seeks direction against the Police Authorities to register the First Information Report against respondent no.3 in terms of Section 21(1) of the Maharashtra (Urban Areas) Protection and Preservation of Trees Act, 1975 (the Act) allegedly felling trees in contravention with the provisions of the Act. 3.

The Tree Authority has been constituted under Chapter II of the Act invested duties led in terms of Section 7 of the Act. The satisfaction of the Tree Authority is necessary.

The petitioner shall apply to the Tree Authority about his grievance, who in turn, shall take appropriate decision in accordance with law.

In view of above, the petition stands disposed of. No order as to costs.

Fees of appointed learned Counsel be paid as per Rules.
