For the construction of the National Highway, land was acquired which was owned by Vijay Vishwanath Bidwai and an award under Section 3G of the National Highway Act, 1956 came to be passed.

The said land was subsequently converted into various plots and the petitioners are claiming to be the owners, who have purchased the plots.

It is the case of the petitioners, as is claimed by Mr. Sohoni, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, that the compensation may be released in proportionate to their holding pursuant to the claims lodged by each of them with the Land Acquisition Officer.

He would invite our attention to the claim lodged by each of petitioners to the Land Acquisition Officer, which has not decided the claim till this date.

In the aforesaid background, we deem it appropriate to dispose of the petition.

We permit the petitioners to produce the copy of this order before the Land Acquisition Officer.

The Land Acquisition Officer shall deal with the claim/objections/grievances of the petitioners, which are produced on record of the present petition as the petitioners undertake to produce copy of this petition to the Land Acquisition Officer.

The Land Acquisition Officer, if deems fit in accordance with law may release compensation or may refer the issue to the Competent Civil Court as is contemplated under the law.
