By this application the Municipal Corporation has prayed that time to comply with the order passed by this Court on 10th March, 2017 be extended by 6 months. The extension is sought on the ground that time is required for getting approval of the roster from the Backward Class Cell.

At the time of hearing the learned Advocate for the Municipal Corporation has submitted that as far as filling up of posts in question by promotion is concerned 2 months will be required and for filling up the posts by appointment 6 months time is required. The order passed on 10th March, 2017 is passed considering the dilly-dally tactics of the Municipal Corporation and the various authorities of the State Government. The posts are lying vacant.

In the facts of the case, the Municipal

2 caw861.17 Corporation is granted time till 9th June, 2017 to fill up the posts in question by promotion.

The Municipal Corporation shall place the copy of the order passed by this Court on 10th March, 2017 and the copy of this order before the Backward Class Cell and it is hoped that the concerned authority will take into consideration the concern shown by this Court in the matter specially when the posts are lying vacant.

As far as the posts which are required to be filled up by appointment, the Municipal Corporation is granted time till 29th September, 2017 to fill them. The learned A.G.P. shall apprise the concerned about this order.

Civil application is allowed in the above terms. No costs.
