The grievance of the petitioner is non-release of an amount of Rs.2,00,000/- (Rupees Two Lakh only) towards gratuity to which the petitioner is entitled for the rendered services for respondent no. 5 - Institution.

It is the case of the petitioner that he has rendered services for about 36 years 03 months and 17 days. He superannuated on 31.10.2006 from the post of Principal. The matter is presently with the respondent nos. 1 and 2 with regard to release of retiral benefits. The petitioner has been issued various communications in that regard which indicate that for want of requisite documents at the Office of the respondent no. 1 further steps could not be taken to release the amount of gratuity.

It is informed that the necessary documents have now been submitted by the petitioner to the Office of the respondent no. 1. SMGate

In the aforesaid facts, respondent nos. 1 to 4 are directed to expeditiously consider the relevant record pertaining to the petitioner and take immediate steps to ensure the payment of amount of Rs.2,00,000/- (Rupees Two Lakh only) towards gratuity to the petitioner. It is expected that within a period of six weeks from today all necessary steps would be taken by the respondents. 7.
With these directions, the writ petition is disposed of. 8.
Rule is made absolute in the aforesaid terms with no order as to costs.

Needless to state that the petitioner shall render cooperation in the matter.
