By this writ petition, the petitioner challenges the order of the respondent No.2-Election Officer, rejecting the nomination form of the petitioner for contesting the election to the Gram Panchayat. Shri A.S.Fulzele, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, states that the cause for filing the writ petition is rendered infructuous, as the elections to the Gram Panchayat are already conducted. It is stated that the petitioner was permitted to contest the election and the petitioner was not elected. From the statement made on behalf of the respondents, it is clear that the cause for filing the writ petition is rendered infructuous, due to subsequent development. The writ petition is, therefore, disposed of with no order as to costs.
