By this writ petition, the petitioners have challenged the elections to Gram Panchayat Ghatpuri.

Since the writ petition is filed in the year 2005 and the term of the elected body of the gram panchayat is only five years, the petition is liable to be dismissed, as the cause for filing the writ petition is rendered infructuous.

Hence, we dismiss the same with no order as to costs. Rule stands discharged.
